Dr. Bitzos is an American-Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Raised in New York and Athens, he was trained at leading academic medical institutions in the United States. His surgical training began at Tufts Medical School and was completed at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Rutgers University, becoming fully trained in both General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. His advanced Aesthetic surgery training took place in New York under world-leading experts in the field, while he also received specialized training in Vessel & nerve Microsurgery at Columbia University. Following completion of his training, he served academically as a Clinical Instructor at Rutgers University, teaching Reconstructive surgery while simultaneously maintaining a busy Aesthetic Surgery private practice in the New York metropolitan area. He later returned to Greece to serve as Chairman of Plastic Surgery at Henry Dunant General Hospital in Athens, a position he held for 19 years before departing to to work as an independent private physician. Dr. Bitzos currently focuses exclusively on Aesthetic Surgery of the Face and Breast, performing procedures at select private hospitals in Athens.
